Student Renter's Insurance
The University of California recommends that students consider purchasing Renters Insurance if living away from home. Renters Insurance is not mandatory, and may be purchased from any source. As a service, the University has arranged for students to shop for coverage directly by going to Grad Guard.
Tuition Refund Insurance
The University of California recommends that students consider purchasing Tuition Insurance to protect them financially in case they need to withdraw for medical reasons. Student Travel Insurance
Students traveling to participate in off-campus activities sponsored and supervised by the University, are covered by Student Travel Insurance 24 hours a day, worldwide, for a wide variety of accidents and incidents. Registration is required for activities taking place out of state and in foreign countries.
Student Event Insurance
Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are independent entities and therefore are not covered by the University of California's own insurance programs. To remedy this problem, the University has purchased a commercial insurance policy to cover virtually all on-campus events hosted by Registered Student Organizations.
